Fresh Start Surgical Gifts is committed to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity and transparency. Our financial records are independently audited each year and our audited financial statements, 990 forms, and 501(3) statement are linked to the right. Fresh Start also maintains a record of financial stability and accountability. In 2008, Fresh Start was the only nonprofit to receive the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Excellence in Marketplace Ethics. Fresh Start also meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability, as decided by the BBB, which includes that we spend at least 65% of total expenses on program activities, that no more than 35% of related contributions are spent on fundraising, and that we accurately report the charity’s expenses in our financial statements.
