He has a large mass on his cheek, which is impairing his ability to eat and speak properly. Doctors in his home country of Liberia do not have the medical knowledge or resources to treat this condition.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-758\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freshstart.org\/espanol\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/patient_stories__0011_Obediah-Before-300x201-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/>Untreated, Obediah would likely be hidden away from society and his chances of education and participation in daily life in his community would be slim.
