Jean-Paul Abboud, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Abboud is a practicing oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon in San Diego, CA. He earned his combined M.D. and Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Rutgers University through the prestigious Rutgers-Princeton Physician Scientist program. He completed his internship in general surgery at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and his residency in ophthalmology at the University of California, San Diego’s Shiley Eye Institute. Dr. Abboud then pursued a fellowship in orbital and oculofacial plastic surgery at West Virginia University, one of the few programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and sponsored by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
