Patrick Nguyen, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Nguyen is a board-certified general surgeon based in San Antonio, TX. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000, and his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2004. Dr. Nguyen completed his general surgery residency at the same institution in 2009. He currently serves as the interim division chief of general and minimally invasive surgery and as the medical student clerkship director at UT Health San Antonio. Dr. Nguyen has received multiple teaching awards and honors, including the Excellence in Teaching Medical Students Award and the Distinguished Teaching Professor designation. He maintains a general surgery practice at University Hospital, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Medical Center, outpatient clinics at the UT Health Medical Arts & Research Center (MARC) and University Health System clinics. Dr. Nguyen is fluent in English, French, Vietnamese and Spanish.
