Create a Legacy of Giving with a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a smart and flexible way to support Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and other causes you care about. You can make charitable contributions now and recommend grants to nonprofits over time — while involving your family in the tradition of giving.
Benefits of a Donor Advised Fund
- A convenient, centralized way to manage your annual charitable giving
- A tax-smart alternative to a private foundation
- Receive an immediate charitable income tax deduction in the year your DAF is funded
- Involve your children or loved ones in your legacy of philanthropy
How It Works
- Make an initial, irrevocable gift of cash, stock or other assets to a sponsoring DAF organization.
- Your contribution grows tax-free within the fund.
- You make recommendations each year on which nonprofits — including Fresh Start — to support through grants.
Giving to Fresh Start Through Your DAF
- Your DAF gives you the flexibility to support Fresh Start with just a few clicks:
- Make a larger one-time contribution to your DAF and spread out your giving through annual grants.
- Use your DAF provider’s online portal or the “Make a Gift from My DAF” tool to recommend a grant to Fresh Start.
- We will acknowledge your generous contribution as a DAF distribution and celebrate your impact.
This is a personal financial decision, and we respect your privacy — we won’t reach out unless you ask us to. But if you’d like to connect, we’d truly love to hear from you.
