Juan Berner, M.D., DPhil
Dr. Juan Berner attended medical school at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and completed his plastic surgery residency in England, obtaining his specialist certification by the Royal College of Surgeons and the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He then went on to complete two prestigious microsurgical fellowships in Newcastle upon Tyne and London, with an emphasis on comprehensive oncological reconstruction.
Dr. Berner is now an assistant professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UT Health San Antonio and has been internationally recognized for his experience in microsurgical reconstruction. He is an academically active clinician and has obtained a master’s degree in surgical science from the University of Oxford.
