Eleanor
Eleanor was born with a giant hairy nevus (giant mole) which covered her entire upper back, upper chest, as well as large areas on both buttocks and right thigh. Even though this type of mole may become cancerous, health insurance often denies coverage for the corrective surgery to remove the mole.
As a child Eleanor became a patient at our charity for children receiving scores of free plastic surgeries to remove the hairy nevus and related medical treatments over several years.
Today Eleanor is a confident woman with a family of her own.
