Kassy

Kassy, from the greater San Diego region, became a Fresh Start patient in 2012 at age 3. She was born with a giant hairy nevus which carries a 10% risk of becoming cancerous. Her procedures included the insertion of a tissue expander to create more skin to graft over the area where the hairy nevus was removed.

Her treatment will continue with laser sessions to reduce and soften the scar. To date Kassy has received free medical care valued at $180,583. Like all the children we treat, Kassy will continue to be a Fresh Start patient until the best possible outcome has been achieved.
